This directional wireless antenna includes U-Bolt Brackets for a pole mount. The stronger the transmit power of the access point, the better your wireless signal will carry, and provide a more enjoyable Internet surfing experience for your customers. The Transmit Power on typical Linksys, D-link and Belkin Wireless Access Points/Routers, is usually in the 15dbm range, or 32mW Transmit Power. This means that connecting a high gain omnidirectional Wi-Fi antenna will help your range, but will not provide the increased distance and signal strength that say a 200mW, or even 500mW Access Point will provide. To get the best range from your outdoor wifi antenna, please ask us about upgrading your Linksys, D-Link, Ubiquiti, TP-Link or Engenius Access point.

Outdoor omni-directional antenna GNS-1455 operates in the 2.4-2.5 GHz band and provides 12dBi omni-directional operation, which largely extends the wireless network range and delivers much better wireless performance to your customers, or end user device. The antenna offers the N female connector guaranteeing wider compatibility with most of the wireless equipments using coaxial cables.  Also, the weather proof design ensures that it can work normally for various demanding outdoor solutions.

The 12dBi Outdoor Omni Directional Wifi Antenna emits a powerful amplified signal over a 360-degree radius, delivering a strong multidirectional signal from an Access Point or a Wireless Ethernet Bridge. If you have multiple locations or buildings where you would like to integrate your wireless network, simply place the TLGNS-1455 in between the buildings with your Access Point. It is most effective when placed at the top of buildings, and on the same plane as your CPE antennas.
 
For implementation in a wireless hotspot the outdoor omni directional antenna should be mounted no higher than 15-20ft.  GNS Wireless has found the best results for campground and RV Park wireless networks to be when the omni directional antenna is mounted just above the top of the RV, or maybe 15ft.  This will prevent the signal from over shooting the clients.  If you must mount the antenna higher, then either go with a sectorized panel antenna, or use a smaller gain outdoor omni directional antenna for the best results.

Ease of installation

Installation of the 12dBi Outdoor Omni Directional Wifi Antenna is simple and straight forward. It is compatible with most wireless devices (Access Points, Routers, Bridges and Network Adapters) on the market with removable external antennas.  You will need a coaxial cable, typically LMR195 or LMR400 to connect the outdoor antenna to your wireless access point.  Contact GNS Wireless directly at 877-209-5152 for assistance on choosing the correct cable.  If you are unsure about the type of connector located on your wireless router, we will be able to assist.
