The GNS-1485-AC wireless hotspot equipment package is a dual radio, high power wireless hotspot customized for owners who are looking to upgrade their existing Wi-Fi from an older installation of 802.11N, or looking to add new Wi-Fi to their location, where speed and reliability is equally important.

This Wi-Fi package, although cost effective, can be the basis of your Wireless Hotspot if you plan to expand the Wireless Network in the future, either by extending the range, or by increasing the # of available clients connected to the network.  This package greatly extends the wireless network in one direction, of 120 Degrees in the 2.4GHz frequency, and 360 Degrees in the 5GHz frequency.  120º sector antenna extends range, reduces interference, and allows maximum coverage of your outdoor 2.4GHz 802.11AC wireless network.  External Signal LED’s will assist with alignment and troubleshooting procedures. Maximum distance Access Point can be placed away from your router is 250ft. (Shielded cat5e is recommended).  There is a 1 year warranty on all items, which includes lifetime technical support.

This package includes both the 802.11AC wireless access point, and high gain antenna.  Both, should be installed on the roof, or outside wall of your main office, pole, or where ever your internet modem comes in.  Typically, you want to mount the antenna about 15ft. high for RV Parks, and about 15-20ft. high for marinas or yacht clubs.  The package will include everything you need to connect to your existing router, or switch.

MANAGEMENT:

The 802.11AC wireless access point uses an IP address for web based management.  You have the ability to change the SSID, change the password, and manage who is connected to the access point at all times.

ADVANCED RF ANALYTICS:

The Access Point included in this package uses a multi-radio architecture to power a independent processor for full 2.4GHz spectrum analytics.  This will allow you to view what channels are being used, and how strong interference is, making it easy to detect noisy envirnments.

INTERFERENCE AVOIDANCE:

Available channel width adjustments allow you to avoid interference in noisy areas.  The 802.11AC access point removes up to an additional 30 dB of adjacent channel interference through active filtering design.  This will provide your wireless network a greater perforrmance advantage over neighboring Wi-Fi networks.

DUAL RADIO DESIGN:

The radio included in this package is 802.11AC rated based on 802.11ac technology with integrated 2.4 and 5 GHz (2×2) MiMo radios boasting an output power of 29 dBm. The gigabit Ethernet port with 802.3af/at support allows powering the device with PoE switches.  The IP-67 standards rated enclosure, integrated surge protection and professional mounting bracket help ensure continuous operation in the harshest of weather conditions.
