Description
This 802.11AC, point to point wireless bridge utilizes a 27dBi dish antenna for long range, reliable wireless performance. Utilizing the InnerFeed technology, the radio is integrated into the feed horn of the antenna, so cables are not required to connect the radio to the antenna. This improves performance because it eliminates cable losses.
The airMAX ac Bridge directs RF energy in a tighter beamwidth. With the focus in one direction, it blocks or spatially filters out noise, so noise immunity is improved. This provides optimal performance in high-noise environments.
The PowerBeam ac airMAX ac Bridge supports Ubiquiti's airMAX technology for excellent performance in outdoor environments. It can be used to create Point-to-MultiPoint (PtMP) client links, Point-to-Point (PtP) links, or used as a powerful wireless client. The PBE-5AC-500 airMAX ac Bridge includes a protective radome to shield the radio from the elements of nature. It requires no tools for assembly – only a single wrench is required for pole mounting.
Design and Performance
- Ubiquiti's InnerFeed technology integrates the radio into the feed horn of an antenna, so there is no need for cables to connect the radio to the antenna; this improves performance by eliminating cable losses
- The form factor of the airMAX ac Bridge features the highest gain for its size
- With the focus in one direction, the airMAX ac Bridge blocks or spatially filters out noise, thereby improving immunity – important feature for areas crowded with other RF signals of the same or similar frequency
- Supports up to 450+ Mb/s real TCP/IP throughput
- Includes a protective radome to shield the radio from the elements of nature
Easy Assembly
- Thanks to the plug-n-play installation, the bridge requires no tools for assembly. Only a single wrench is required for pole mounting
- The mounting bracket offers 20° of uptilt and up to 20° of downtilt
- The antenna feed can be detached with the push of a button
Corrosion Resistant
- GEOMET coated fasteners for better corrosion resistance compared to zinc-plated fasteners. Dish and brackets are made of powder-coated galvanized steel to withstand corrosion. The pole bracket prevents paint from being removed from the metal bracket, which prevents corrosion
airMAX Technology
- Ubiquiti's Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) airMAX protocol allows each client to send and receive data using pre-designated timeslots scheduled by an intelligent AP controller. Eliminates hidden node collisions and maximizes airtime efficiency. Provides scalability, high throughput, and low latency in unlicensed multipoint networks Intelligent QoS: Priority is given to voice/video for seamless streaming Supports high-speed, carrier-class links
